She is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering and a part-time faculty member at the Beckman Institute\u0026#39;s 3D Micro and Nanosystems group. \u0026nbsp;Her interests are in the mechanics of materials, more specifically in modeling and characterization of composite materials with a focus on biological materials and nanocomposite materials.
