{"60216":{"#nid":"60216","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Dean Steve Salbu Taking Semester for Research","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ECollege of\nManagement Dean Steve Salbu has been awarded a research semester, effective\nAug. 15-Dec. 31, 2010.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EPresident Bud Peterson\nand Executive Vice President for Research Steve Cross approved the research\nsemester to allow Salbu to focus on developments in cyberlaw and business ethics,\nhis two primary areas of research and teaching specialization prior to entering\nadministration at the University of Texas in 1990.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ESince coming to\nGeorgia Tech in 2006, Salbu has continued to teach throughout the term of his\ndeanship, leaving little time to pursue research activities.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring fall\nsemester, day-to-day operations in the College of Management will be overseen by\nSenior Associate Dean Sri Narasimhan, who is entering his fourth year as\nassociate dean. Narasimhan will continue to meet regularly with Salbu this fall\nto coordinate operations and oversee the continued strategic direction and\nprogress of the College of Management.
