  <title><![CDATA[Join Phi Alpha Theta - the National History Honors Society]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The society is open to any student regardless of major.&nbsp; Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours (4 courses) in HTS, achieve a minimum GPA of 3.1 in HTS and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall.&nbsp;A maximum of&nbsp;3 credit hours of&nbsp;online, transfer, or AP credits may be applied to the membership eligibility requirement.&nbsp; If you are interested, please contact the faculty advisor, <a href="mailto:carla.gerona@hsoc.gatech.edu">Carla Gerona</a> by Friday, March 9.</p>

<p>You will need to send Dr. Gerona your name, home mailing address, and email as well as $50.00 (must be cash &ndash; preferable &ndash; or check payable to Carla Gerona). &nbsp;</p>

<p>This one-time fee includes a lifetime membership, a membership certificate, and four issues of the journal,&nbsp;<em>The Historian</em>.&nbsp; Members will also receive a special Phi Alpha Theta honors cord upon graduation.</p>
