Dean Jacqueline Royster has announced a new chair for the School of Economics. Laura O. Taylor, Ph.D., will join the Georgia Institute of Technology in July 2018 from North Carolina State University where, for the last ten years, she has been professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics, and director of the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy.

Taylor earned a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University, a Master of Economics from Duke University, and a Bachelor in Economics from University of North Carolina at Asheville.

The announcement from Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts dean, Jacqueline J.
