The portal is a tool that F-1 students on Post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) or science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) OPT can choose to use to report changes to their home address, telephone number and employer information. As a F-1 visa holder on Post-completion or STEM OPT, you will be eligible to use the portal.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn the near future you may receive an email with instructions on creating a portal account. This email will come from \u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:do-not-reply.sevp@ice.dhs.gov\u0022\u003Edo-not-reply.sevp@ice.dhs.gov\u003C\/a\u003E (\u003Cstrong\u003Ethis is not a scam!\u003C\/strong\u003E) If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk mail folder. If you do not receive an email from SEVP, you may update your email and contact information through iStart.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe SEVP Portal will allow you to:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EView details about your post-completion or STEM OPT.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EReport changes to your address, telephone and employer information.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EView and update data on all your employers.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPlease keep in mind that the SEVP Portal is NOT access to SEVIS. Any data updates you make in the portal will be sent directly to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe use of the SEVP Portal is \u003Cstrong\u003Enot\u003C\/strong\u003E required, it is optional. The Office of International Education \u003Cstrong\u003Estrongly recommends\u003C\/strong\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003Ethat students continue to use iStart to report changes and updates via e-form submission,\u003C\/strong\u003E and DSO\u0026rsquo;s update SEVIS records accordingly.
