  <title><![CDATA[School of Public Policy Climbs in new U.S. News & World Report Graduate Program Rankings]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The School of Public Policy moved up two spots in the latest&nbsp;<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report</em>&nbsp;rankings of the nation&rsquo;s best graduate programs, while the school&rsquo;s environmental policy program appeared in the publication&rsquo;s rankings for the first time.</p>

<p>The environmental policy program debuted at No. 12 in the publication&rsquo;s list of the best environmental policy and management programs in the country.</p>

<p>Overall, the school&nbsp;ranked No. 43 among public policy schools nationwide, up from 45 in&nbsp; 2016, according to the&nbsp;<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report&nbsp;</em>rankings released&nbsp;on March 20, 2018.</p>

<p>The School&rsquo;s public policy analysis program also&nbsp;climbed two places, to No. 20 from No. 22<sup>,</sup>&nbsp;according to the publication,</p>

<p>Meanwhile,&nbsp;<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report</em>&nbsp;continued to rank the school&rsquo;s information technology and communications policy program at No. 2 in the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;These rankings reflect the distinctive nature of our program,&rdquo; said Kaye Husbands Fealing, chair of the School of Public Policy. &ldquo;We offer a rigorous analytic approach to public policy studies with a focus on the intersection between technology and policy.&nbsp; I&rsquo;m delighted to see these strengths reflected in our overall ranking, and in our specialty rankings in policy analysis, environmental policy, and information technology Policy &amp; Management.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The School offers masters of science and doctoral programs&nbsp;that focus on environmental policy, science and technology policy, urban and economic development policy, and information technology and communications policy.</p>

<p>Through its baccalaureate and graduate programs, the school&nbsp;seeks to define the discourse around global public policy by examining the global impact of science, technology, and innovation on our society through rigorous scholarship and research.</p>
