A peppy polymer that transforms into a cell-size, chain-welding hero to battle an antibiotic resistant superbug!\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe National Science Foundation (NSF), in partnership with the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI), recognized these new science-powered superheroes and more by naming them as the first- and second-place winners and honorable mention for the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/news\/special_reports\/gennano\/\u0022\u003EGeneration Nano\u003C\/a\u003E competition.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGeneration Nano challenges middle and high school students to imagine novel superheroes who use the power of science and technology to solve crimes or tackle societal challenges. Students tell their hero\u0026#39;s story in a short comic or video.
