INTA 2001A is co-taught by Chair\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/people\/person\/joseph-bankoff\u0022\u003EJoe Bankoff\u003C\/a\u003E, Graduate Director\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/people\/person\/katja-weber\u0022\u003EKatja Weber\u003C\/a\u003E, Undergraduate Director\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/people\/person\/mikulas-fabry\u0022\u003EMikulas Fabry\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;and Associate Chair\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/people\/person\/michael-salomone\u0022\u003EMichael Salomone\u003C\/a\u003E. The course exposes students to different career opportunities in International Affairs by bringing in guest experts from various fields.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAllison was responsible for coordinating with different parties to bring in a line-up of guests from the intelligence, legal, nonprofit, diplomacy, journalism, and business sectors. She was also responsible for grading and providing feedback on cover letters, resumes, and recorded elevator pitches.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShe was nominated for the International Affairs Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for demonstrating teaching excellence inside of the classroom. \u0026ldquo;She has shown great professionalism and has been a terrific representative of the Nunn School in working with guests and makes a real commitment to helping our students understand their own career choice and opportunities,\u0026rdquo; said Joe Bankoff.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAlong with serving as the teaching assistant to the class, Allison helped Stephanie Jackson, assistant undergraduate director, with the career talks and Washington, D.C., career visit. \u0026ldquo;She handled unexpected situations with grace and efficiency,\u0026rdquo; said Stephanie Jackson. \u0026ldquo;Always professional in her interactions. I couldn\u0026rsquo;t be more delighted with her work ethic and demeanor.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAllison, who completed her undergraduate studies at Tech as an International Affairs and Modern Languages major, with a concentration in German, led the career talks and course by example. She used what she learned during her undergraduate studies to prepare an elevator pitch, which helped her land a job as an intelligence analyst after attending the fall career fair.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u0026ldquo;I wish I could tell freshmen that you actually can do something with an international affairs degree, and that it\u0026rsquo;ll all work out in the end,\u0026rdquo; said Allison Stanford.
