For others, it might mean a school \u0026ndash; the School of Interactive Computing, for example \u0026ndash; filled with a diverse set of research. Still others might think of the progression of computing from classic personal computers to those pushing boundaries through machine learning and artificial intelligence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA few weeks ago, we asked students, faculty, staff, and friends of the School of Interactive Computing to come up with concepts for a t-shirt design that demonstrate what those words mean to them.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAfter sifting through all our submissions \u0026ndash; and we received a number of great ones \u0026ndash; we have narrowed the contest down to four finalists. Check out the finalists below and be sure to vote on\u0026nbsp;Facebook\u0026nbsp;or \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/7VXLTKM\u0022\u003Ethis survey\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJohn Britti, Computational Media undergraduate student\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBritti provided a futuristic look at human interaction with a computing interface, utilizing the classic Buzz Gold color. Finalist selectors liked his design for its universal depiction of the intersection between humans and computers.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBrian Cochran, Computer Science undergraduate student\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECochran submitted a selection of computing characters that could be the basis of a series of t-shirt designs now and in the future. Finalist selectors liked his design because of its fun interpretation of computing and that it provides what every organization or event needs \u0026ndash; a mascot.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EStefamikha Suwisar, Industrial Design undergraduate student\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ESuwisar\u0026rsquo;s design depicts the diverse research that comes from the many human sources within the School of Interactive Computing. Finalist selectors liked her design because it captured in an image the breadth of computing research that comes out of the School.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETim Trent, GVU Center research technologist\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETrent provided an initial concept for a series of t-shirts that highlight the many IC research areas in a nostalgic way.
