While not every chapter within the Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) held a national convention, many received awards from their peers in areas of both programming and academics.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHere is a look at the honors brought home by Georgia Tech sororities this summer.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAt the national \u003Cstrong\u003EPhi Mu\u003C\/strong\u003E convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s chapter (Theta Zeta) won the Carnation Cup. This award is Phi Mu\u0026rsquo;s highest honor for maintaining high standards in chapter operations, programming, and public relations. The Tech chapter also earned an Honorable Mention for the Zenobia Wooten Keller Sisterhood Development Award, and one member was recognized with the Gerald and Sheldon Pollack Award for outstanding individual achievement and philanthropic leadership.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Chi Omega\u003C\/strong\u003E (Epsilon Phi chapter) won the Seeking the Heights Award for excellence in facility operations and sustainability initiatives.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMembers of \u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Gamma Delta\u003C\/strong\u003E (Gamma Phi chapter) collected the Activities Award at their convention in San Antonio, Texas, for having the chapter with the highest percentage of members involved and serving in leadership roles in student organizations.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Xi Delta\u003C\/strong\u003E (Gamma Eta chapter): won the AmaXIng Challenge Grant from their headquarters to bolster their annual Step It Up 5k \u0026ndash; to be hosted on Sept. 30, 2018. This grant assists chapters in growing their events and fundraising efforts in support of Autism Speaks.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EZeta Tau Alpha\u003C\/strong\u003E (Iota Theta chapter) members came home from their convention in Orlando, Florida, having earned Crown Chapter status for surpassing national standards and the Silver Award in the category of Membership Enrichment programming.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Delta Pi\u003C\/strong\u003E (Zeta Omega chapter) had two members, Pooja Juvekar and Riley Geran, honored nationally as top Emerging Leaders.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EA member of \u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Omega Epsilon\u003C\/strong\u003E (Sigma Chapter) won the National Foundation Scholarship from their headquarters.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Delta Chi\u003C\/strong\u003E won the Chapter Strength Award from their national office.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAlpha Phi\u003C\/strong\u003E (Iota Mu chapter) earned Excellence in Philanthropy within their region for their overall philanthropic efforts that raised awareness and resources for cardiac disease prevention and treatment.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026ldquo;The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and the Collegiate Panhellenic Council are so proud that almost the entire CPC community was honored for their hard work,\u0026rdquo; said Amanda Fishman, fraternity and sorority life coordinator.
