Global Opportunities at Georgia Tech

The Office of International Education (OIE) is excited to welcome Yellow Jackets back to campus this August! This summer has brought with it heat, humidity, and a few changes to OIE. OIE is excited to celebrate the inaugural Fall 2018 Global Leadership Living Learning Community (GLLLC) cohort for incoming first-year students. The GLLLC is home to 118 students from all backgrounds and majors who are interested in the world around them and problem solving in global contexts. Students live in Perry and Matheson Halls their first year at Georgia Tech, take a fall and spring class together, and explore global Atlanta. Global Leadership student action teams focus on cultural exchange and achieving the UN's #GlobalGoals.

Georgia Tech is unique in the breadth and depth of international opportunities open to students. Tech provides undergraduate students 120+ different study abroad programs spanning every academic discipline, the chance to do global internships to broaden their professional acumen regardless of level, and the opportunity to internationalize their degrees by participating in the award-winning International Plan. In addition to exploring the globe, students are encouraged to engage with their international student peers not only in classes, student organizations, or in campus housing, but also through programming like the monthly OIE coffee hour, International Education Week, Culture Fest, and alternative break trips.
