These workshops will introduce the \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/w2.healthinitiatives.itg.gatech.edu\/nutrition\/intuitive-eating\u0022\u003E10 Intuitive Eating principles\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E and feature discussions between Health Initiatives nutritionists and students on how to apply intuitive eating to a busy college lifestyle.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe workshop\u003Cstrong\u003E \u003C\/strong\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EMake Peace with Food \u0026amp; Challenge the Food Police\u003C\/strong\u003E encourages you\u0026nbsp;to give yourself unconditional permission to eat. If you tell yourself that you can\u0026rsquo;t or shouldn\u0026rsquo;t have a\u0026nbsp;particular food, it can lead to intense feelings of deprivation that build into uncontrollable cravings and, often, bingeing.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIntuitive eating is a non-diet approach to eating that encourages healthy relationships with food and focuses on the importance of bodily cues such as hunger or fullness. It discourages dieting habits such as setting calorie limits or restrictive eating, and instead emphasizes that the body innately knows what it needs to fuel itself throughout the day.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMeetings are bi-weekly on Thursdays at 4:00 pm.
