Applications are now open to work alongside licensed Georgia Tech pharmacists for the 2018-2019 school year. This program is geared toward pre-health students who are interested in a medical or health related career field.\u0026nbsp; SHS Pharmacy Manager, Nina Thoman said, \u0026ldquo;This experience is a great opportunity for our students to build practical medical experience, learn patient interaction skills as well as understand how and what drugs are used in the treatment of disease. It\u0026rsquo;s a great stepping off point for any pre-health student to get a leg up whether they are pursuing medical school or biopharmaceuticals after college.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; Applicants must be able to volunteer for two consecutive semesters in the pharmacy for three hours shifts twice a week. During this time you\u0026rsquo;ll participate in all of the activities involved in receiving a prescription order from a provider, filling\/dispensing a prescription to a patient, allergy and drug interaction monitoring, and medication therapy management.
