  <body><![CDATA[<p>The Georgia Tech Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts&nbsp;would like to invite you to join the Innovation and Collaboration in Liberal Arts, Science, and Technology (ICLAST) Interdisciplinarity Event with Guest Speaker <a href="http://www.uva.nl/en/profile/k/e/m.keestra/m.keestra.html">Machiel Keestra</a>, assistant professor at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Amsterdam, on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in Stephen C. Hall Building, Room 102. All graduate students, post docs, and faculty are welcome. Lunches will be provided for those who RSVP.</p>

<p>Keestra&rsquo;s research focuses on human action from a variety of perspectives. His research interests include history of philosophy, philosophy of action, and the philosophy of cognitive neuroscience. He teaches in the Beta-Gamma Natural and Social Sciences Bachelor program, the Interdisciplinary Honors program, the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Master program,&nbsp;and other interdisciplinary courses</p>

<p>The talk is co-sponsored by the Georgia Tech School for Public Policy Speaker Series and the Innovation and Collaboration in Liberal Arts, Science, and Technology (ICLAST).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ICLAST interdisciplinary research discussion series is designed to encourage research collaborations and to disseminate research to faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and masters and undergraduate students across the College and campus. Panelists from different Georgia Tech units present their research on a common topic linking the liberal arts, sciences, and technology.</p>

<p>ICLAST events are supported by a grant from GT-FIRE.</p>
