612222 event 1538491304 1539887434 <![CDATA[Interdisciplinary Integration After the Neuro-turn: Problems with the ‘Neurofication’ of Theology]]> The Georgia Tech Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts would like to invite you to join the Innovation and Collaboration in Liberal Arts, Science, and Technology (ICLAST) Interdisciplinarity Event with Guest Speaker Machiel Keestra, assistant professor at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Amsterdam, on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in Stephen C. Hall Building, Room 102. All graduate students, post docs, and faculty are welcome. Lunches will be provided for those who RSVP.

Keestra’s research focuses on human action from a variety of perspectives. His research interests include history of philosophy, philosophy of action, and the philosophy of cognitive neuroscience. He teaches in the Beta-Gamma Natural and Social Sciences Bachelor program, the Interdisciplinary Honors program, the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Master program, and other interdisciplinary courses

The talk is co-sponsored by the Georgia Tech School for Public Policy Speaker Series and the Innovation and Collaboration in Liberal Arts, Science, and Technology (ICLAST). 

The ICLAST interdisciplinary research discussion series is designed to encourage research collaborations and to disseminate research to faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and masters and undergraduate students across the College and campus. Panelists from different Georgia Tech units present their research on a common topic linking the liberal arts, sciences, and technology.
