{"612787":{"#nid":"612787","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Outgoing Exchange Participation Shows Robust Growth","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Office of International Education (OIE) is excited to announce that a record number of students will be studying abroad on exchange for the coming semester. \u0026nbsp;In Spring 2019, 178 Georgia Tech students will be attending 40 partner institutions in 23 countries. This number has tripled in just three years.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECurrently the top 5 exchange institutions are \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram\u0026amp;Program_ID=10003\u0022\u003EUC3M\u003C\/a\u003E in Madrid, Spain; \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram\u0026amp;Program_ID=10029\u0022\u003EHKUST\u003C\/a\u003E in Hong Kong; \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram\u0026amp;Program_ID=10007\u0022\u003EUNSW\u003C\/a\u003E in Sydney, Australia; \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram\u0026amp;Program_ID=10086\u0022\u003ENUS\u003C\/a\u003E in Singapore, and \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram\u0026amp;Program_ID=10065\u0022\u003EEindhoven\u003C\/a\u003E in the Netherlands. Of the 178 students studying abroad on exchange, this group represents 27 of the 35 undergraduate majors at Tech. Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Business Administration, and Biomedical Engineering are the top majors for this group of students.
