The event will be held in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, Rooms 1116-1118,\u0026nbsp;from\u0026nbsp;12:15-1:15 p.m. and is open to the public.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbstract\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETBA\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBio\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ELivio Dalloro\u003C\/strong\u003E heads the Product Modeling and Simulation research group at Siemens Corporate Technology and is located in Princeton, New Jersey, USA.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBorn and raised in Milano, Italy, he began his career with Siemens developing software for large building automation systems before moving to the company\u0026rsquo;s research facility in Princeton, New Jersey USA.\u0026nbsp; While there, he built a new team focused on the discovery and creation of the next generation cognitive algorithms for design, simulation and manufacturing.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ELivio has eight granted patents including \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/ieeexplore.ieee.org\/abstract\/document\/6183218\/\u0022\u003Eresidential-level EV charging \u003C\/a\u003Eand \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/citation.cfm?id=2461364\u0022\u003Epipelining for cyclic control systems\u003C\/a\u003E, among others. A recipient of two simultaneous DARPA grants and of several Siemens\u0026rsquo; strategic innovation projects for the Digital Twin, he now runs the largest and fastest growing Siemens research team in the U.S. He is also an \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/youtu.be\/SpUYWiH-h8k\u0022\u003ER\u0026amp;D Council Edison Patent Award\u003C\/a\u003E in the \u003Cem\u003Eenergy category\u003C\/em\u003E for a novel solution using a collaborative energy management strategy that includes a distributed system to manage the residential-level power distribution grid in a collaborative way for E-car charging stations. In addition, he was the Siemens representative member for the Technical Advisory Committee of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Richmond, VA.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPassionate about his roots, he can\u0026#39;t say no to a good \u0026#39;carbonara pasta\u0026#39;, which he enjoys cooking to perfection for his friends and family.
