Emerson, Director,\u0026nbsp;LP Next\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/div\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESeminar Topic: \u003C\/strong\u003E \u003Cem\u003EChange = Opportunity: Building a fulfilling career\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbstract of Talk: \u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nPaul will share his experiences and advice for building a fulfilling career starting with his first real job through the graduate coop program at Georgia Tech, up to his current position where he leads an advanced development team within the Linear Power business at Texas Instruments in Dallas including many roles in-between such as leading Kilby Labs Dallas and running a half billion dollar \/ year business at TI. Paul will reveal some of the lessons that he has learned the hard way as well as by observing others with the desire that some of these will benefit students who are embarking on the next step of their career. \u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cstrong\u003EBiographical Sketch of the Speaker:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nPaul Emerson is currently the technologist for the Voltage Reference and Supervisor product line which is part of the Analog Power Products division of Texas Instruments. Paul is also currently serving as TI\u0026rsquo;s Campus manager for Georgia Tech and an ECE advisory board member. Paul was the general manager of Kilby Labs Dallas and director of nanotechnology from 2012 to 2017. Paul\u0026rsquo;s career at TI started in 1996 and he has taken on a wide range of challenging roles from analog IC design engineer to business unit manager. Paul is the inventor \/ co-inventor of more than 10 US patents.
