613728 news 1541171218 1541171218 <![CDATA[Robust Growth and New Staff in OIE]]> The Office of International Education (OIE) is excited to announce that a record number of students will be studying abroad on exchange next semester. In addition to more than 50 faculty-led study abroad programs, many Georgia Tech students chose to study directly at a partner university through our exchange programs. In Spring 2019, 178 Georgia Tech students will be attending 40 partner institutions in 23 countries. This number has tripled in just three years. Currently the top five exchange institutions are UC3M in Madrid, Spain; HKUST in Hong Kong; UNSW in Sydney, Australia; NUS in Singapore, and Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Of the 178 students studying abroad on exchange, this group represents 27 of the 35 undergraduate majors at Tech. Industrial engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, industrial design, business administration, and biomedical engineering are the top majors for this group of students.
