Students will travel to North Carolina to work with \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.communitycollaborations.org\/\u0022\u003ECommunity Collaborations\u003C\/a\u003E, supporting Hurricane Florence relief efforts. The official application deadline has closed, but there are a few remaining openings for the trip. The Georgia Tech chapter of Circle K is involved in several volunteer projects on and off campus throughout the year. During the remainder of the semester, students are encouraged to attend weekly Atlanta Community Food Bank visits and trips to a local chapter of the Boys \u0026amp; Girls Clubs of America. The group holds weekly volunteering shifts on Tuesdays and Fridays to package leftover dining hall food, which then goes to food-insecure students on campus through Klemis Kitchen and homeless people in the Atlanta area rather than being thrown away.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.calendar.gatech.edu\/event\/613480\u0022\u003EEmployee Resource Group Canned Food and Toiletry Drive\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.sdie.gatech.edu\/programs-and-initiatives\/engagement\/ergs\u0022\u003EGRIOT Employee Resource Group\u003C\/a\u003E is hosting a canned food and toiletry drive for the month of November. Some of the food items needed most are single-serve soups, single-serve cereals or oatmeal, canned tuna, and breakfast bars. Full-sized toiletries such as deodorant, shampoo, and toothpaste are also requested. Donation bins have been set up around campus in the following areas: Center for Engineering and Education Diversity office (located in the Pettit Microelectronics building), the Global Learning Center receptionist desk, Scheller College of Business, and Tech Tower lobby.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAll donations will go to Klemis Kitchen. Klemis Kitchen serves as a food pantry for Georgia Tech students with dietary needs and financial concerns that limit their access to proper nourishment. Participants can stop by the Kessler Campanile to write thank you notes, enjoy hot chocolate or coffee, and participate in fall-themed activities. On Nov. 27 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the organization will host its annual Demo Day where students will present the projects they\u0026rsquo;ve been working on throughout the semester. The demo will be held at the Garage in Tech Square.
