{"614990":{"#nid":"614990","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Office of International Education Update","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Office of International Education (OIE) has seen robust growth in its outgoing exchanges and with this growth, participation in Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/oie.gatech.edu\/ip_welcome\u0022\u003EInternational Plan\u003C\/a\u003E (IP) has continued to expand as well. This important program allows students to spend 26 weeks outside the U.S. through an \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/oie.gatech.edu\/gip\/home\u0022\u003Einternship\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/atlas.gatech.edu\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ListAll\u0022\u003Estudy\u003C\/a\u003E, or research abroad program. Students take three globally focused courses, complete a global capstone, and develop proficiency in a foreign language. The IP fosters intercultural sensitivity, cross-cultural communication skills, the ability to approach problems from multiple perspectives, and a global understanding of their discipline.
