  <title><![CDATA[Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Since 1994, organizations across the nation have participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Each year on the first Monday in January, we have a &ldquo;day on, not a day off,&rdquo; and partner with programs and community organizations in Atlanta to move closer to King&rsquo;s vision of a &ldquo;beloved community.&rdquo; Limited spaces for Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff are available for participation in the 2019 MLK Day of Service, which we be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Students can register for the following sites: <a href="https://orgsync.com/168042/events/2569923/occurrences/6169984" target="_blank">West Atlanta Watershed Alliance</a> and <a href="https://orgsync.com/168042/events/2554867/occurrences/6165627" target="_blank">Trees Atlanta</a>. Stamp&rsquo;s President&rsquo;s Scholars will also be volunteering at Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve.</p>

<p>Check-in and breakfast will be served at the Student Center Ballroom beginning at 7:30 a.m. and buses will leave for their respective sites at 8 a.m. Contact Brittny James at bjames44@gatech.edu with any questions or concerns about this year&rsquo;s service program.
