Fit to Thrive is a five-week series that is designed to teach faculty, staff, and students about the importance of a healthy life and mind. Participants will learn about personal fitness, nutrition, and stress management as well as assess personal well-being and set goals to make improvements toward a healthy lifestyle. Here are three reasons why you need this program in your life: \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EFind harmony within the five dimensions of well-being.\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring Fit to Thrive, students will learn about the five dimensions of well-being; professional, social, emotional, spiritual and physical in order to be the best version of yourself. \u0026ldquo;Everyone inherently has all of the dimensions, but you can focus your energy into improving aspects within each dimension\u0026rdquo;, said Miller. \u0026ldquo;Participants should be able to make valuable improvements to their personal health and well-being in all five dimensions.\u0026rdquo; Improving on these dimensions will help create harmony in your life.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMake positive changes to your personal health. \u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThrough this program, participants \u0026ldquo;gain better understanding of themselves through learning about intuitive eating, fitness for life, mindfulness techniques, and more,\u0026rdquo; remarked Miller. During the Fit to Thrive program, students \u0026ldquo;will learn about their own strengths and abilities to make a positive personal change.\u0026rdquo; Health is more than just being fit, Fit to Thrive will teach students how to improve all aspects of personal health.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPractice goal setting to help fuel your ambitions. \u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring Fit to Thrive, participants set personal goals to point them in the \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;direction of a healthy lifestyle. Set goals using a multi-prong approach in order to define your personal health and well-being aspirations. \u0026ldquo;Fit to Thrive is a great opportunity for anyone on Tech\u0026rsquo;s campus including students, staff, and faculty, to learn about the 5 dimensions of well-being and make positive changes to their personal health.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EJoin Health Initiatives for the first Fit to Thrive session beginning February 13\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E and running every Wednesday through March 13\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E. If you cannot make it to the first session, Health Initiatives is offering a second time slot beginning March 27\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E and running every Wednesday from 5:30- 6:30 until April 24\u003Csup\u003Eth\u003C\/sup\u003E.
