The speaker for this town hall was \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/about\/senator-sam-nunn\u0022\u003ESenator Sam Nunn\u003C\/a\u003E, the Nunn School\u0026#39;s distinguished professor, and namesake.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOver 25 students, staff and faculty from across Georgia Tech\u0026#39;s campus attended on a late Friday afternoon. The town hall gave attendees the opportunity to ask any pressing questions. Questions ranged from his thoughts on the recent Trump-Kim North Korea Summit to what was the easiest and quickest way to reach an agreement with Russia. Adam Stulberg, the associate chair\/researcher and Neal Family Chair Professor, helped moderate the discussion.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring the town hall, Senator Nunn emphasized the importance of increasing decision time when it comes to reaching an agreement with Russia. He\u0026nbsp;also shared his concerns for the next\u0026nbsp;generations, which are that young people are not aware of the current nuclear threat and that congress does not understand the affect of artificial intelligence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ESenator Sam Nunn is co-chairman of the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to reduce the risk of use and prevent the spread of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. He served as the United States Senator from Georgia for 24 years (1972-1996) and is retired from the law firm of King \u0026amp; Spalding.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPizza, Policy, and International Affairs, are a series of town halls featuring current and former executives in government, higher education, military, nonprofit and private sector.
