  <title><![CDATA[Elayne Ashley and Her Favorite Elements]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The monthly series &quot;My Favorite Element&quot; part of <a href="https://periodictable.gatech.edu/">Georgia Tech&#39;s celebration of 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, #IYPT2019GT</a>. Each month a member of the Georgia Tech community will share his/her favorite element via video.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.chemistry.gatech.edu/people/ashley/elayne">Elayne Ashley</a> is a scientific glassblower. Although she is based&nbsp;in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, she is available to&nbsp;any Georgia Tech unit to consult, design, modify, and fabricate scientific glassware. She designs and constructs glass apparatus&nbsp;in close collaboration with individual researchers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ashley performs her glass-blowing wizardry and artistry in the <a href="https://www.chemistry.gatech.edu/organization/glass-shop/contact-glasshop">Georgia Tech Glass Shop</a>, located in Room&nbsp;L2305 in the Ford Environmental Science and Technology Building</p>
