And then one day, all of sudden, something is not the way it was. You\u0026rsquo;re\u0026nbsp;probably\u0026nbsp;frustrated and confused and now something is going to be late.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWe get it.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ESo\u0026nbsp;Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) partnered with\u0026nbsp;Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR)\u0026nbsp;to run\u0026nbsp;this\u0026nbsp;four-part series to prepare you for some changes. These changes will affect you, either directly or indirectly,\u0026nbsp;through your manager, coworkers, or direct reports.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBackground:\u0026nbsp;To understand the\u0026nbsp;upcoming\u0026nbsp;system and process changes, you need to be familiar with OneUSG (if you missed the first part of this series, spend a few minutes catching up\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/hr.gatech.edu\/news\/oneusg-sounds-familiar\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Ehere\u003C\/a\u003E).\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAs a quick reminder, OneUSG is an initiative to better unite\u0026nbsp;the\u0026nbsp;26 institutions\u0026nbsp;that\u0026nbsp;make up the University System of Georgia (USG) and was\u0026nbsp;established by the leadership of the USG.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAn initial priority of OneUSG is Human Capital Management (HCM).\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EHCM\u003C\/strong\u003E is\u0026nbsp;the set of practices for recruiting, managing, developing and optimizing the human resources of an organization.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) is\u0026nbsp;primarily responsible for HCM\u0026nbsp;at Tech.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe OneUSG\u0026nbsp;HCM\u0026nbsp;changes have\u0026nbsp;three phases\u0026nbsp;spanning\u0026nbsp;2014 to 2020:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Col\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EOne Benefits Platform (2014 to 2016)\u003C\/strong\u003E:\u0026nbsp;Condense 100+ benefit vendors among the 26 institutions. The phase is complete. If you\u0026rsquo;ve been at Tech for three or more years, you might have noticed changes in the vendors providing your health and wellness benefits.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003ECOMPLETED\u003C\/strong\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBenefits Administration Transition (2016 to 2017):\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003EAll employee health and wellness benefits are managed by the same third-party vendor. This phase is complete and brought you the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/oneusgconnect.usg.edu\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EOneUSG Connect \u0026ndash; Benefits portal\u003C\/a\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003ECOMPLETED\u003C\/strong\u003E.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EHR Transformation (2017 to 2020):\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;Streamlines Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s HR system with the University System of Georgia OneUSG Connect initiative. All institutions will use one HR information system.
