Fortunately, there are several upcoming events designed specifically to give graduating students the opportunity to participate in some of the best things Georgia Tech has to offer.
Tuesday, April 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Tech Walkway
The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is hosting one final spirit day for all of its graduating members. Come out to Tech Walkway to learn more about what SAA offers for graduating students, how to become an active alumnus, and take advantage of free giveaways.
Tuesday, April 9, 5 – 8 p.m.
Various Locations
All graduating SAA members can participate in a free photo shoot at several iconic campus locations. Photographers will be set up at Tech Tower, the Georgia Tech historical marker in Harrison Square, in front of the Alumni Association's Wreck, and on the rooftop of Clough Commons. Graduation regalia is not required for the shoot but is recommended. Interested students should register online before the event.
Thursday, April 11, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Guthridge Room, Alumni House
If you want to show off your Georgia Tech spirit at Commencement but don’t know where to start, SAA has you covered. They’ll provide supplies so you can decorate your grad cap, and the best designs will win prizes. Snacks will also be provided.
Thursday, April 11, 8:30 – 11 p.m.
Howey Physics Building
Once a month, the Howey Physics Building opens up its rooftop observatory to the public. This is the last public night until the fall, and graduating students who have not yet done so are encouraged to head up to the roof and enjoy the views of campus and the Atlanta skyline, and look through the observatory’s telescope at the cosmos.

Begins at Tech Tower Lawn
One of Georgia Tech’s most well-known events and active traditions is the annual Pi Mile Road Race. Follow the 5K path that you’ve spent so much time walking on for four years! Registration is now open, and accessible through the Alumni Association’s website.
Monday, April 15, and Wednesday, April 17, 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Clough Turnaround
Have you ever wanted to ride in the Ramblin’ Wreck? Are you about to graduate and worry that you’ve missed your chance? Never fear! The Wreck will be out and about on April 15 and 17 to give graduating seniors a ride around campus. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, so make sure to sign up.
Thursday, April 18, 6 – 9 p.m.
Bobby Dodd Stadium
Any student graduating in the spring, summer, or fall of 2019 is welcome to attend this year’s Ramblin’ On celebration. The event will feature food, T-shirts, fireworks, and more. Tickets are $10 per person and are subject to sell out. Advance registration is required.
Various Dates
Many students wish that they’d studied abroad during their time in college. There’s still a chance to travel with Georgia Tech, through its Young Alumni group. The Alumni Association is hosting trips to places such as Iceland and Dubai, beginning April 26 and ending Oct. 13. Though not a full semester abroad, these trips are still an opportunity to travel the world with your fellow Yellow Jackets.
