{"620217":{"#nid":"620217","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Chromatin dynamics and genome organization","body":[{"value":"\u003Ch3\u003ESoft Condensed Matter Seminar\u003C\/h3\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003EAbstract\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOur understanding of how genomes are organized inside the interphase nucleus, and of the molecular factors involved, is rapidly improving. In this talk, first,\u0026nbsp;I will review some of the recent research that has led to this current understanding. However, I will then present a number of results, including measurements of chromatin dynamics in living cells,\u0026nbsp;that challenge aspects of this picture. I will then develop and explore a modified hypothesis for the mechanisms underlying genome organization.
