Jointly supported by the Center for Teaching and Learning and BP America, the award recognizes the excellent teaching and educational innovations that junior faculty bring to campus.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EReddi was recently promoted to associate professor in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He teaches the core courses in the biochemistry curriculum. His teaching \u0026ndash; based on a philosophy of personalized learning and educational environment for every student \u0026ndash; has impressed colleagues and students alike.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026ldquo;He is regarded by students at all levels as demonstrating a consistent combination of stimulating and challenging instruction balanced by genuine respect and care for his students,\u0026rdquo; a colleague says. \u0026ldquo;This is a winning formula to promote student successs.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAnother colleague notes Reddi\u0026rsquo;s natural ability to connect with students in the classroom. \u0026ldquo;He has a friendly, relaxed presentation style, which puts students at ease and encourages student contributions without sacrificing rigor,\u0026rdquo; this colleague says. \u0026ldquo;His knowledge of material and cogent delivery allow him to connect biochemistry fundamentals to their broader biological context.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cblockquote\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026quot;I have come to realize that educating young minds is perhaps the most immediate, direct, and profound impact that we can make to shape the world.\u0026quot;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\u003C\/blockquote\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents are equally full of praise for Reddi\u0026rsquo;s teaching.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;He taught biochemistry in such a way that I nearly changed my major,\u0026rdquo; one student says.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;He always took the time after class to answer questions,\u0026rdquo; another student says. \u0026ldquo;During office hours, he would very patiently explain concepts that students needed help with. He was always caring about his students\u0026rsquo; understanding of biochemistry.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Dr. Reddi is a dedicated professor who is always looking to facilitate learning and guide students professionally,\u0026rdquo; says a student who is now in graduate school. \u0026ldquo;The skills I learned from him have opened invaluable opportunities for my career.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Many of us, including myself, came to Georgia Tech to make the world a better place through our research and discoveries,\u0026rdquo; Reddi says. \u0026ldquo;Whether we are ultimately successful is often unclear.
