Johnson is an assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania.\u0026nbsp;She has a secondary appointment as an assistant professor in Bioengineering and is a member of the mechanical engineering and applied mechanics graduate group. Johnson has a Bachelor\u0026rsquo;s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in mechatronics, robotics, and design, from Stanford University.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShe completed an NSF-NATO post-doctoral fellowship at the Advanced Robotics Technology and Systems Laboratory at the Scuola Superiore Sant\u0026rsquo;Anna in Italy. Johnson directs the Rehabilitation Robotic Research and Design Laboratory in the Pennsylvania Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine.
