Kaye Husbands Fealing Reappointed as Public Policy Chair

Kaye Husbands Fealing has been reappointed for another five year term as chair of the School of Public Policy.

Husbands Fealing specializes in Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP), the public value of research expenditures related to food safety, and the under-representation of women and minorities in STEM fields and workforce. During her first term of visionary leadership, she has guided the school in raising visibility, building a strong national profile, and raising the trajectory of great expectations for Policy@Tech. A few distinctive accomplishments are highlighted on the School of Public Policy’s website: https://spp.gatech.edu/.

Husbands Fealing currently serves on the National Science Foundation’s Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering, the National Institutes of Health’s National Advisory General Medical Sciences Council, the National Academies panels on Review of the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs at the Department of Energy, the National Academies panel on Reengineering the Census Bureau’s Annual Economic Surveys, and the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance. She is a board member for the Center for Organization Research and Design at Arizona State University, and for the Society for Economic Measurement. At Georgia Tech, she serves on the Institute for Data Engineering and Science Council, and the Intellectual Property Advisory Board.

In announcing the reappointment, Ivan Allen College dean Jacqueline Royster said, “Dr. Husbands Fealing is dynamically engaged with research and emerging fields of study, and we are delighted to have her continue in leadership for the college. Please join me in applauding her reappointment.”
