For more than a century, Georgia Tech students have been putting out news of the Institute on a weekly basis as staffers for the Technique. For a college without a traditional journalism program, that’s no small feat. But since 1945, they've taken up the motto of being "The South's Liveliest College Newspaper."
Technique writers and editors come from all disciplines at Georgia Tech. This semester, some of its top editors are majoring in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and materials science and engineering. Next semester, the paper will be without those leaders as they graduate this week and go on to pursue various career paths.
This semester, the Technique is losing more of its senior staff at once than it has in some time. Eight of its most senior staffers will move on from Georgia Tech this weekend.
