  <title><![CDATA[Kaye Husbands Fealing Delivers Plenary Talk at AAAS Forum]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>On May 3,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.iac.gatech.edu/people/faculty/fealing">Kaye Husbands Fealing</a>, chair and professor in <a href="http://spp.gatech.edu">the Georgia Institute of Technology</a>&rsquo;<a href="http://spp.gatech.edu">s School of Public Policy</a>, discussed the National Science Foundation&rsquo;s Science of Science and Innovation Policy program (SciSIP) during&nbsp;the second day of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)&nbsp;forum on science and technology policy in Washington, DC.</p>

<p>Prior to joining the School of Public Policy, Husbands Fealing&nbsp;developed and served as SciSIP&rsquo;s inaugural&nbsp;program director.&nbsp;The SciSIP program was designed&nbsp;to advance the scientific basis of science and innovation policy by supporting research&nbsp;to develop models, analytical tools, data and metrics that can be applied in the science policy decision making process.</p>

<p>In addition to SciSIP, she spoke about methods of quantifying the economic value of scientific research&nbsp;in order to better understand the value of science to the public.</p>

<p>The annual AAAS Forum on Science and Technology Policy is a major conference&nbsp;for professionals&nbsp;interested in public policy issues facing the science, engineering, and higher education communities.&nbsp;</p>
