The official move-in date for KACB occupants is now Friday, July 26.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cse.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ESchool of Computational Science and Engineering\u003C\/a\u003E (CSE) is the largest unit set to move in to Coda at this time and the only school in its entirety that will be\u0026nbsp; transitioning to the new building.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECSE is relocating from KACB to the 13th floor of Coda, where it will neighbor with part of \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/gtri.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EGeorgia Tech Research Institute\u003C\/a\u003E (GTRI). All operations for CSE will remain on the 13th floor, while several faculty members will move to the various research neighborhoods which are spread over 11 floors of the 21-story building.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe CSE faculty moving to research neighborhoods and their locations are:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003EProfessor and CSE Interim Chair \u003Cstrong\u003ESrinivas Aluru\u003C\/strong\u003E: IDEaS \u0026ndash; Floor 14\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003EAssociate Professor \u003Cstrong\u003ELe Song\u003C\/strong\u003E: Machine Learning \u0026ndash; Floor 11\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003EAssociate Professor \u003Cstrong\u003EJimeng Sun:\u003C\/strong\u003E Health Informatics \u0026ndash; Floor 15\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cp\u003EProfessor \u003Cstrong\u003ERich Vuduc\u003C\/strong\u003E: IDEaS \u0026ndash; Floor 14\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\t\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETo compliment the research resources in Coda, the building comes equipped with one the largest data centers in the southeast, which includes a high-performance computing (HPC) resource. The HPC resource was acquired through a $3.7 million award from the National Science Foundation for a research effort led by CSE Interim Chair and Co-Executive Director of the\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/ideas.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003E Institute for Data Engineering and Science\u003C\/a\u003E (IDEaS) Srinivas Aluru.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;This project is exciting from many perspectives, but especially how it is pushing forward data and high performance computing research infrastructure at Georgia Tech,\u0026rdquo; said Aluru. \u0026ldquo;It reflects the teamwork of dozens of faculty, and also supports the work of over 50 research scientists and 200 graduate students.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/news\/611216\/georgia-tech-announces-high-performance-computing-resource-coda-building\u0022\u003E[Related News: Georgia Tech Announces High-Performance Computing Resource for Coda Building]\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOnce all Georgia Tech units have moved in, Coda will become the institute\u0026rsquo;s headquarters for data analytics research.
