Prior to this assignment, Dr. Koch worked as Program Officer for Advanced Materials in the Research Directorate of the European Commission, which resulted in EC-NSF coordinated actions in Material Sciences. Before joining the European Commission, she worked as Senior Managing Scientific Officer in the German Ministry of Finance in Bonn; and as Customs Chemist and lecturer at the German Science \u0026amp; Training Center in Hamburg.
