Military conflict has threatened to accompany economic warfare as Tehran and Washington continue to trade combative rhetoric. Last month, Trump revealed he was just ‘minutes’ away from authorizing air strikes on Iran. Those of us in arts and humanities know wars have no winners. We believe another war in the Middle East will be disastrous and that we must urgently use our voices to generate awareness, empathy and love.

The Iranian Studies Initiative at Georgia Tech invites you to an evening of inspirational multimedia performance for peace. Pedram Falsafi, conductor and composer of classical guitar, in collaboration with Ayda Melika, filmmaker and the director of the Iranian Studies Initiative at Georgia Tech, bring together a selection of captivating music, video art, and Persian poetry in a political imagination calling for dialogue and peace.

The event will be held on July 27, 2019 at 7:30 PM in the Student Center Theater.
