OMSCS Associate Director of Student Experience \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.cc.gatech.edu\/people\/david-joyner\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDavid Joyner\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E served as general chair for this year\u0026rsquo;s conference. Yet he wasn\u0026rsquo;t the only OMSCS connection in the conferences\u0026rsquo; leadership. OMSCS alumnus and current teaching assistant (TA) \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/tonymason2\/?originalSubdomain=ca\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETony Mason\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E was registration chair, and OMSCS student and TA \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/mrswenson\/\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMichael Swenson\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E served as communications chair.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOMSCS is a great fit for L@S, according to Joyner.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Learning @ Scale puts an emphasis not just on using technology in the act of teaching, but also on using technology to scale the overall enterprise of learning,\u0026rdquo; Joyner said. \u0026ldquo;So much of scaling OMSCS has been not to scaling instruction itself, but scaling the things that have to happen for instruction to take place, like admissions and advising. Learning @ Scale has been a great place to explore the problem holistically.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EJoyner and John P.
