That\u0026rsquo;s how it felt last month when email after email from School of Psychology Acting Chair Mark Wheeler arrived in various inboxes, sharing the joyful news of a new award.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GeorgiaTechPsych\/photos\/a.402445326523952\/1792786810823123\/?type=3\u0026amp;theater\u0022\u003Eannouncement\u003C\/a\u003E of a $334,000 grant to \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/psychology.gatech.edu\/people\/faculty\/399\u0022\u003EDobromir Rahnev\u003C\/a\u003E in May has been succeeded in August\u0026nbsp;by seven other research awards to eight faculty members.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I think the recent success is due to several factors,\u0026quot; Wheeler says. \u0026ldquo;School faculty have been submitting more proposals. And notably, persistence is key: Some proposals were funded because the principal investigators persisted.
