Each month a member of the Georgia Tech community will share his\/her favorite element via video.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe September\u0026nbsp;edition features \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.chemistry.gatech.edu\/people\/zhu\/hui\u0022\u003EHui Zhu\u003C\/a\u003E, an academic professional in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EZhu was born in Beijing, China. He received a B.S. in chemistry from Peking University and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Merced.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EZhu joined Georgia Tech in 2015. What attracted him to Tech?\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;Georgia Tech provided me a position to fully utilize my talents in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry,\u0026quot; he says. \u0026quot;I also enjoy\u0026nbsp;the city of Atlanta for its diverse culture.\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAs an academic professional, he coordinates\u0026nbsp;organic chemistry and biochemistry labs\u0026nbsp;and promotes career development for undergraduate students. He researched and co-authored a recent story on \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/cos.gatech.edu\/news\/chemistry-alumni-georgia-bureau-investigation\u0022\u003Echemistry alumnae in the Georgia Bureau of Investigations\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EZhu\u0026#39;s favorite element is europium.
