The article considers the relationships between critical making, identity, and the power systems that differentiate "high" technological making and "low" technological making. Gollihue explores the ways making is an embodied and relational process that is present in the practices of people living outside the margins of academic and corporate Maker movements. By showing the ways agricultural production on a farm are embodied processes of making with and through human and nonhuman makers using first-person videoethnographic methods, she extends current critiques of critical making and consider how including everyday, non-electronic material practices in the Maker movement redefines and broadens what it means to make, and therefore what it means to be a maker.
