{"62654":{"#nid":"62654","#data":{"type":"news","title":"New Senior Vice President Joins Tech","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThere\u2019s one thing in particular that Dr. Amir Rahnamay-Azar, Georgia Tech\u2019s new senior vice president for administration and finance, is looking forward to experiencing this fall \u2014 watching the leaves change. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cLiving in southern California, you don\u2019t get to see the leaves change color in the fall,\u201d he said. \u201cPalm trees don\u2019t really change colors.\u201d \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBefore arriving at Tech, Rahnamay-Azar served as associate senior vice president for operations at the University of Southern California (USC). \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe joined USC in 1997 and served in progressively more responsible roles until his most recent appointment at the university, which began in July 2005. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn his role at Tech, Rahnamay-Azar will oversee and manage a wide range of business and financial functions.
