That\u0026rsquo;s why Emily Weigel uses the tools offered by the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD).\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026quot;NCFDD\u0026nbsp;is useful to get professional development not offered at Georgia Tech, like advice specific to my various jobs\u0026nbsp;on campus,\u0026rdquo; said Emily Weigel, an academic professional in the School of Biological Sciences. \u0026ldquo;I\u0026#39;ve been using the modules on\u0026nbsp;NCFDD\u0026nbsp;since I was a graduate student.\u0026nbsp;And even now as a faculty member, there\u0026#39;s always something new I can learn or be reminded to practice.\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech recently joined NCFDD, which means that all faculty members and students have free access to all of the center\u0026rsquo;s resources.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;Traditionally, the training of graduate students focuses mainly on managing yourself; leading a team and mentoring students are sometimes forgotten,\u0026rdquo; said Shlomi Cohen, a third-year Ph.D. student in Quanititative Biosciences. \u0026ldquo;NCFDD\u0026rsquo;s website can help graduate students improve their knowledge, routines, and even their interaction with colleagues.
