633131 news 1582920452 1583175774 <![CDATA[RHA Celebrates Campus Diversity with GT Unite]]> On March 9, the Residence Hall Association (RHA) will host GT Unite to celebrate diversity and inclusion on campus. Campus organizations and departments that promote these ideas will be tabling along Tech Walkway and by the Kessler Campanile. The event will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will include free food, music, and appearances by Big Buzz, the Ramblin’ Wreck, and Wreck Radio.

GT Unite began in 2016, when RHA wanted to find a way to bring campus together and give smaller organizations the opportunity to showcase themselves. Thirty organizations, including CaribSA, China Care, French Club, International Ambassadors, and more, will showcase their unique contributions to diversity as members of the Georgia Tech community. All 19 of RHA’s Hall Councils will also be there — and each one will host a fun activity for students.

The event will also include arts and crafts projects, trivia games, and snacks and drinks. Once students complete an organization’s activity, they’ll get a stamp on their GT Unite passport. The first 600 students to receive six stamps can redeem their passport for a free short- or long-sleeved t-shirt.

“We hope that students will come to GT Unite and see all the great diversity at Georgia Tech and that we are all strengthened by our it and united in inclusion,” said Andrew Norlin, director of member engagement for RHA.
