{"636439":{"#nid":"636439","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Paper Co-Authored by Kaye Husbands Fealings Wins Award","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EA paper co-authored by Kaye Husbands Fealing that examines the gender pay gap at federal science agencies has won the Devah Pager Award from the Section on Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility of the American Sociological Association (ASA).\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe paper, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.journals.uchicago.edu\/doi\/full\/10.1086\/705514\u0022\u003E\u0026ldquo;Gender Pay Gaps in U.S. Federal Science Agencies: An Organizational Approach,\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/a\u003E was published in the September edition of the \u003Cem\u003EAmerican Journal of Sociology\u003C\/em\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.iac.gatech.edu\/people\/faculty\/fealing\u0022\u003EHusbands Fealing\u003C\/a\u003E, who is professor of public policy and dean of the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.iac.gatech.edu\/people\/faculty\/fealing\u0022\u003EIvan Allen College of Liberal Arts\u003C\/a\u003E, and her fellow researchers found that pay gaps at agencies focused on traditionally masculine fields such as engineering and physical sciences were largely the result of men being paid more than women for the same jobs.
