63678 event 1295361677 1475891628 <![CDATA[2011 Materials Science and Engineering Symposium]]> Georgia Tech's School of Materials Science and Engineering is celebrating its merger with the former School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering with a symposium focused on the future of materials science and engineering in the 21st Century. 

Twelve speakers from around the world will participate in the 2011 Materials and Sciences Engineering Symposium from on Feb. 24 in the Grand Ballroom Salon of the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.  The event will kick off at 8 a.m. with a welcome from Georgia Tech President G.P."Bud" Peterson on "the future for sustainability." The 12 speakers, who will discuss their particular sub-material area of expertise, will be followed by a discussion and complimentary banquet.  See links below for agenda and more information.
