In cooperation with the protective measures that have been put in place, each member of the community is encouraged to take responsibility to help contain the spread of Covid-19.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Institute has established the following formal and informal processes and recommendations for incorporating accountability into safety guidelines.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cem\u003EStudents and Student Groups Expectations\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ELed by the Division of Student Life and the Office of the Provost, the Georgia Tech Covid-19 Student Educational and Response Team (GT CO-SERT) is a temporary collaborative team charged with reviewing reported questions and concerns related to students or student groups and adherence to Covid-19 health and safety guidelines.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe CO-SERT will review reported concerns or questions, communicate with individuals or groups, and determine further response or referrals, as necessary. Its actions may include follow-up with campus community members; clarification of current guidance and campus expectations; additional informational or educational efforts; and if necessary, referral to applicable campus resources or offices to consider enforcement processes. The key to this guidance is recognizing that feelings and comfort levels vary.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA few recommendations for employee interactions:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cul\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EBe mindful that your colleagues may not feel the same way you do.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EBe respectful of others\u0026rsquo; feelings in your interactions with them.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EReinforce and remind \u0026mdash; to the extent you are comfortable \u0026mdash; other Yellow Jackets and visitors of the requirements and guidelines, where they can access face coverings in buildings, and to follow best practices.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EBe mindful of language when addressing social distancing. Using words like \u0026ldquo;us\u0026rdquo; or \u0026ldquo;we\u0026rdquo; in the request to distance may help keep the situation from escalating. For example, \u0026ldquo;Let\u0026rsquo;s put a little more space between us at this table.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EPlease step away from others or leave any situation if you feel uncomfortable.\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EBuilding signage should also be clearly displayed to assist students, faculty, and staff in following expectations in different scenarios.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIf you are not comfortable speaking to a person directly, remove yourself from the situation and contact your supervisor and\/or HR Business Partner or HR Director.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIf the situation becomes a workplace dispute requiring conflict management, work with your HR Business Partner or HR Director.
