Evans Award for Advancement of Women. Glass also holds a courtesy appointment in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/biosciences.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ESchool of Biological Sciences\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe award is given in memory of Alice C. Evans, the first woman to be elected ASM president (elected in 1928). The ASM Awards program is managed by the American Academy of Microbiology, the honorific leadership group within ASM.
