<em>Caroline Genzale, associate professor in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech is one of the many speakers. She received a&nbsp;NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts Phase 1 funding award&nbsp;for a project titled &ldquo;Fueling a Human Mission to Mars.&rdquo;<br />
<br />
The nine-month project is a collaborative effort involving Georgia Tech colleagues&nbsp;Wenting Sun, associate professor in aerospace engineering, and&nbsp;Pamela Peralta-Yahya, associate professor in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and faculty member of the Renewable Bioproducts Institute (RBI).</em></p>

<p>is proud to announce its annual Symposium as a Virtual Event!</p>

This event is free and open to the public. All are invited to attend.</p>

Due to the continuing pandemic, the 2020 NIAC Symposium has officially</p>

<p>transitioned to a virtual event and will not be held in Tucson, AZ. The</p>

<p>event will begin live on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 10:00AM ET and can</p>

<p>be accessed live via Livestream here:</p>

The NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) seeks innovative, technically</p>

<p>credible advanced concepts that could one day change the possible in aeronautics</p>

<p>and space.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 2020 NIAC Symposium will feature progress presentations from our currently</p>

<p>funded Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III Fellows. This portfolio of NIAC studies</p>

<p>addresses diverse research areas including: Revolutionary Exploration Systems,</p>

<p>Novel Propulsion, Human Systems &amp; Architectures for Extreme Environments,</p>

<p>Sensors, and Imaging.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>NIAC Symposia feature exciting keynote addresses to inspire the participants. Past</p>

<p>NIAC speakers have included visionary thinkers, distinguished scientists, senior</p>

<p>government officials, authors, astronauts, and entrepreneurs.</p>
