Aaron Levine, Assistant Professor of Public Policy, called on Congress to pass laws "to provide a clear legal basis for the federal funding of [Human Embryonic Stem Cell (hEsc)] research," but acknowledged that was probably unlikely to happen. Levine continued, "hESC scientists should prepare to face continued policy fluctuations, legal challenges, and other hurdles to their research in the future." Levine conducted a survey of 370 scientists in November 2010. The results of the survey were published February 3 in the journal Cell Stem Cell.
