  <title><![CDATA[How Chatham County teachers use playground games, creativity to teach computer coding to students]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Schools will have to start teaching computer science in practically all grade levels within five years. But instead of teachers and administrators panicking about taking expensive courses and earning more certifications during summers or during the school year, <a class="gnt_ar_b_a" href="http://www.code.org" rel="noopener" target="_blank">code.org</a> offers professional development courses that last just a few days and&nbsp;are free.</p>

<p>Georgia Tech offers the&nbsp;series of free professional development opportunities for Georgia teachers and many Savannah-Chatham teachers have jumped on board.</p>

<p>Fifty teachers participated in the program earlier this year &mdash; most&nbsp;were from Garden City and Marshpoint elementary schools and Hesse K-8 school.</p>
