He served as a senior advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy and as a senior advisor for United States Institute of Peace\u0026rsquo;s \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.usip.org\/programs\/task-force-extremism-fragile-states\u0022\u003ETask Force on Extremism in Fragile States.\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I got involved with this journal when I was a graduate student copy-editing papers. Later I became an assistant editor and then an associate editor working for the last ten years with an esteemed editorial team, including John Horgan, Max Taylor and co-founding editor David Rapoport. I am excited to help further our mission to advance scholarship in this area,\u0026rdquo; Rubin said.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I have been fortunate to work on the editorial side of \u003Cem\u003ETerrorism and Political Violence\u003C\/em\u003E to help shape the field, which has grown tremendously since 9\/11.
